Here’s the full text of an announcement we just received from MediaSource, parent/publisher of Library Journal, School Library Journal and The Horn Book.

Media Source, Inc., has announced that Ian Singer is leaving his position as Vice President & Group Publisher, Library Journals, LLC & The Horn Book, Inc., as of August 28.

During his five-year tenure, Singer oversaw the diversification of the brands’ content offerings, and the expansion of their digital and events business. He also brought to fruition key initiatives such as the influential Patron Profiles research into library patron behavior; ongoing Lead the Change professional development events and online courses; and the new SELF-e curated collections which enable libraries to spotlight local independent authors.

“Ian has been a fantastic leader, guiding the business during a critical time,” said Media Source CEO, Randy Asmo. “He’s been a tireless supporter of School Library Journal, Library Journal, The Horn Book, Junior Library Guild, and Media Source as a whole, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Asmo will serve as interim publisher while the company conducts a search for Singer’s replacement.

Note From Gary Price, Founder/Editor of infoDOCKET.com:
I would like to thank Ian for the support he has given to infoDOCKET since taking over as publisher at LJ/SLJ. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
